Semester 1 Timetable change: Request to Review’
The Guidance department continues to work on resolving incomplete timetables (students in grades 9-11 with less than 4 courses) and will continue to review the ‘required timetable- change request’ submitted by students via the Google form (available to students only- students must be logged into their GAPPS account). Only required changes for semester 1 will be reviewed at this time.
The online Google form opened Thursday, September 10 at 8:30am and will close on Monday, September 14 at 9am. Only ONE form can be submitted by each student.
Students with incomplete timetables will be accommodated first and are asked to report the Library for the period that they are missing a class. Once the timetable is complete, the student will be contacted.
Students are expected to follow their assigned timetable and attend all classes as scheduled. If a change is possible, the Guidance department will contact the student via their GAPPS email or call into their scheduled class.
If there is a required change for semester 2, students are asked to wait until early October to schedule a Guidance appointment through Teach Assist with their alpha counsellor. Appointment bookings will be made visual in Teach Assist late September.

Students who need or are interested in a course that is not available at UHS, can register for a course for Remote Night School offered by the YRDSB. The Remote Night School program is delivered synchronously (Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30-9:45). More information about this program, courses offered and how to register using My Pathway Planner is available on the YRDSB board website and in the Guidance google classrooms. Registration for Remote Night school is from August 24 - September 14, 2025, on My Pathway Planner. Please note that Online Night School is for adults 18 years of age or older, who are NOT attending a regular day school program.
A quick reminder that School Council nomination forms are available on https://startupforms.yrdsb.ca/ and are due by Monday, September 28, at 4:00 PM. If you are interested in nominating yourself, please ensure your completed form is submitted by this time.

- Online Alternate: Complete them at startupforms.yrdsb.ca using your child’s student number.
- Paper Copies: Contact the main office if you prefer paper forms or need assistance.
Note for Secondary Students: Secondary school students must review key policies and can complete the secondary school student form at https://startupforms.yrdsb.ca/students. They will also receive the link in their student GAPPS account.
