Post-Secondary Fair sponsored by Vaughan Public Libraries

Meet the Colleges and Universities - October 17 (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) Civic Centre Resource Library

Students considering college or university will have the opportunity to connect directly with representatives from a variety of post-secondary institutions. Attendees can learn about academic programs, admissions requirements, campus life, and the many pathways available after high school. With 18 post-secondary institutions confirmed, this event offers students a valuable chance to ask questions, gather information, and begin planning for their educational future.

The Library Learning Commons would like to include this information in this week's Howl for parents. The blue underlines are links—I hope they will copy over to the website. Thanks!

The Library Learning Commons

The Library Learning Commons is here to support students in many ways!

Many eBooks and audiobooks are available at no cost to students through Sora. Students sign in using 0 followed by their student number.

If students have not already done so, they are invited to join the Library’s Google Classroom using code sv427pg.

Databases and other online student tools and resources can be found at our website page. This is also where students can search the library’s catalogue for a book or request something new for the Library.

Students are welcome to sign out books anytime.

We also encourage students to get a Markham Public Library card, which is free to anyone attending school in Markham.

We look forward to supporting everyone this year!

Unionville High School is proud to be a 1:1 learning environment, ensuring every student has daily access to a personal device (laptop, Chromebook, or tablet) to support their education. Students are expected to bring their device each day and are responsible for its care.  While most students provide their own technology, the school offers Chromebooks at no cost for temporary or semester-long loans when needed.

If your family requires a school-issued Chromebook, please complete this brief Google Form. Once a parent or guardian submits the form, your student may pick up their device in the Main Office.
