Course Verifications for the 2026-2027 School Year

Course verifications for the 2026–2027 school year will be sent to students’ GAPPS email accounts after March Break. During the course verification period, students can request changes to their course requests. It is very important that your child considers their selections very carefully. Elective course changes will not be made after this final verification process.

Please note that all courses are requests and are not guaranteed. Courses are prioritized by grade. If you are reaching ahead, there is no guarantee that you will be registered in the reach-ahead course (e.g., a Grade 11 student requesting a Grade 12 course, or a Grade 10 student requesting a Grade 11 course).

You and your child may want to revisit the UHS Course Calendar at https://app.myblueprint.ca/public/courses/yrdsb/unionville1 to review course descriptions and prerequisites, as well as take time to research post-secondary program options.

Resources to help with this include:

1. My Pathway Planner (post-secondary tab)

2. https://www.ontario.ca/page/my-career-journey

3. ouinfo.ca

4. ontariocolleges.ca

5. https://www.skilledtradesontario.ca/

The following questions can guide conversation about post-secondary interests and options.

What career paths are you interested in?

What are your strengths and interests?

What subjects or areas of study are you interested in?

What do you consider happiness and success?

What courses would you like to take to further explore your interests?

Are you interested in taking a gap year after high school graduation, or continuing your high school studies?

Who can you talk to or consult with at school about exploring academic and career paths?

What experiential learning opportunities (such as internships, volunteering, etc.) would you like to try?

Which post-secondary open house events and information fairs would you like to attend?

Students are reminded that they must have their activity pre-approved prior to completing the activity. A special reminder to Grade 12 graduating students that the deadline to submit completed Community Involvement hours by June 1st.  Grade 12’s are also reminded that May 1st is the deadline to submit additional community involvement hours (more than the required 40).

Students may join the ‘UHS Volunteer Google Classroom’ (enrolment key: j7t5zik) or meet with a Guidance counsellor to learn about volunteer opportunities.

Unionville High School is excited to be hosting its 40th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the school.  We are excited to be celebrating a very special milestone in Wolves history.  This event will bring together alumni, students, families, staff, and community members to celebrate four decades of excellence, community, and school spirit. To help make this celebration memorable, we are seeking support from our community.

We would greatly appreciate any sponsorship or donated item that could be used in our raffle fundraising efforts. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting the anniversary event and related activities. In recognition of sponsorships or donations, businesses/families will be promoted as official sponsors at the event. This may include acknowledgment during the celebration and visibility among our attendees, offering a great opportunity to showcase your generosity within the Unionville community.

Your support, no matter the size, would mean a great deal to us and would contribute directly to the success of this milestone celebration.

Thank you very much for considering our request. We would be happy to provide additional details or answer any questions you may have.  Please contact unionville.hs@yrdsb.ca if there are any questions.

The graduation fee is required for students participating in the graduation ceremony being held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday June 23, 2026, at Venu Event Space, 2800 Hwy 7, Vaughan. The cost includes the souvenir cap & gown, venue rental and two guest tickets to the ceremony.
