We encourage walking or taking transit to school. The driveway is busy from 8:00 to 8:25 AM.
- Please follow the one-way signs when dropping off.
- Do not stop in the fire zone or no idling zone.
Parking passes are required for all cars. Cars that do not have a parking pass will be ticketed by the City of Markham.
Parking Procedures
This message is for grade 11 and 12 students who attend Unionville High School and are looking to secure one of our 40 student parking spaces for Semester 1 of the 2025-2026 school year.
This message is going out to you by email to make it equitable for all grade 11 and 12 students. To be eligible for a parking space, Students must currently have a valid G2 licence.
This is a multi-step process. If you need to clarify the steps, this will be on the televisions in the school hallways.
- Step one: email sandra.mcintyre@yrdsb.ca to request a Student Parking Pass for Semester one
- Step two: Students will receive a link to complete the Student Parking Pass Contract and request form.
- Step three: On School Cash online will be set up so that you can pay $20 for Student Parking Permit Deposit – (Semester One Only).
- Step four: Once you have paid your fee on School Cash Online, please bring your receipt and your driver’s license to Mrs. McIntyre in the main office to pick up your Semester One parking pass.
Student Responsibilities:
- It is your responsibility to check School Cash Online for this payment option.
- There are only 40 student parking spots available, and passes are on a first come first served basis.
- You will need to reapply for a parking pass each semester.
- If you have not successfully secured a UHS student parking permit, you will not be permitted to park on UHS property. If you park on school property without a permit, you may receive a parking ticket from the City of Markham.
